Yoga to Compliment…Everyday Life.

Everyday+Life.jpg

Without us realising it, we spend most of our days moving in and out of squat positions, hinge movements, push/pull patterns and rotational activity. We repeat these so much that it’s instinctive behaviour and don’t even think twice about it so you can see that these movement patterns aren’t just for gym goers or sports fanatics but everyone. However our bodies are precious things and it’s only when something happens do we realise how much we appreciate being mobile.

As we naturally get older, our body starts to slow down, muscles begin to get a little tighter and we become less flexible so it’s important that we do as much as we can to keep our bodies in good nick! Yoga helps with all of the above and it’s the perfect form of movement to compliment everyday life. It helps to stretch, lengthen and strengthen the muscles we use day in day out, improving our range of motion and helping us to feel great in physically and mentally!

Maybe you feel like sitting at your home desk all day is killing your back, that getting up from the couch is hurting your legs or you’ve done so many Zoom workouts that every part of your body is aching. All this plus some headspace to focus on the present and relax can do wonders for creaking/stiff bodies and busy minds.

Each Wednesday I will take you through a different sport or activity and describe how yoga can compliment it e.g. running, cycling, golf, strength training, rugby etc. ill take care of itself. It always does.
